wake up put on a little make up

I’ve been home alone with two children for a few weeks, but only took about two hours on the first day I go crazy damn-absolute. Seriously, I was mental. Justin came home from work and found me rocking back and forth in the corner mumbling something about Buzz Light year and I’m pretty sure I was soaked from head to toe in baby pee.

I knew that staying home with two children would be a lot of work, but I do not really prepare for the constant noise and changing diapers and feeding and picking up after the child extremely talkative of the destruction that was about face. Solos. In 2 hours of sleep. It’s been a great fit and has not been easy.

I’ve never been fond of having routines and always thought of the mothers who were in such tight schedules to be a bit silly. Like, loosen, woman … the world will not end if you do not have things go exactly your way. Newsflash: the world absolutely end if things are not exactly my way. I am totally one of those mothers strict routine that I used to mock them OMG and now I am FOREVER and tease you.

Luckily, I’m developing a little morning routine to help me go and feel awake and alive. If I do not do those things at 9 am, will not work properly that day. I’ll sit in my corner, drooling like a zombie and we all know that zombies are not the most productive.

* Make the bed
* Getting dressed, brushing teeth, putting her hair in a ponytail mom. Yes, I am one of those now too.
* Apply some makeup (a little dust, a little mascara … enough not to send all visitors to run for the hills in view of the cup.)
* Open all the blinds – SOL is so important. It’s like the Batcave from here if I do not.
Maddie * Power Breakfast
* Get dressed in real clothes Maddie so she is not around at the PJ all day

Whatever happens before / during / after these things is usually to Jack. My tits are your personal slaves. I will spend the rest of the days of spending time with Maddie, usually for coloring, reading and playing “kitchen”. Along with the endless task of collecting the toys a child, I have also made a goal to do an important task each day. I will sweep, mop and vacuum floors, Monday, for example. Remove the dust on Tuesday. Baths Wednesday. These small changes to my routine have helped me so much before … I knew that adults really need to schedule too much?
